The Sporting / Puma Academy - Center of Soccer of the Sporting Club of Portugal – situated in Alcochete, in the outskirts of Lisbon about 30 minutes of the Airport of Lisbon through the new Vasco Bridge of Gamma. The ample and attractive place, with about 2500 m2 square meters was chosen because of its excellent location. Furthermore it is a very quite place and the air is much cleaner as it is outside of Lisbon. Of course being in Portugal the academy benefits from warm and sunny climate the whole year through. There are two fully equipped gyms, big hydromassage bath, turkish bath, medical centre and also a swimming pool. In total there are 91 rooms of which 18 are available for your team. The other rooms are for players from the academy who stay there. Alle rooms are equipped with airconditioning, Central heating, bathroom, toilet, television, telephone, internet access etc.

The Sporting / PUMA Academy has five natural grassfields with regular measurement ( 110x70m), an Astroturf field (90x70m) and an semi indoor astroturf field (60x40m). The main pitch also has a stand for approx. a 1000 spectators.

Sporting Clube the Portugal is a Portuguese football club playing in the super league. This is the official name of the club since 1906 although outside of Europe the club is more famous with the name Sporting Lisbon. In the season 2004/05 the club reached the final of the UEFA cup, which in its own Estádio José Alvalade XXI it was played. They lost however surprisingly with 3-1 of CSKA Moscow. Some of its most notable home breed footballers include João Moutinho and Nani on the current squad, Paulo Futre (Retired), Luís Figo (Inter Milan), Cristiano Ronaldo (Manchester United) and Luís Boa Morte (Fulham). The Youth Academy was considered by Luiz Felipe Scolari (Portuguese national coach) and Jose Pekerman (Argentinian national coach) as one of the best sports academies in the world. It was also the home training ground for the Portuguese national football team during Euro 2004.
